WELCOME!
We are a family-owned campground tucked near the edge of Klamath Glen on California’s North Coast. The park has been welcoming guests for more than 40 years, and we’re honored to be part of its next chapter. Around here, we like to call it Klamath’s Best Kept Secret.
THE EXPERIENCE

Spacious Sites.
You will find open space, scattered trees, RV sites, tent camping, fresh air, and a slower pace. Our grounds are covered in luscious grass and picturesque scenery.
We are located about 4 miles off Highway 101, close enough for easy access but far enough away to enjoy a quieter stay.

Adventure is accessible.
There is plenty to explore nearby, including Redwood National and State Parks, Trees of Mystery, Klamath River Jet Boat Tours, coastal viewpoints, hiking trails, biking routes, and quiet places to wander among the redwoods.

The river is in our backyard.
The Klamath River is just over the levee, only a short walk from camp. It is a beautiful place to fish, swim, or sit by the water. The river is known for salmon and steelhead fishing, and a valid fishing license is required. During peak fishing season, especially in August and September, you may hear early morning activity from guests heading out to the river.

IT’S ABOUT FAMILY
Terwer RV Park has been part of the Klamath community for generations. Before becoming Terwer Park Resort, the property was known as Roy Rooks RV Park and served as a longtime fishing camp along the Klamath River. For many years, guests came here for the fishing, the quiet setting, and the peaceful feeling of being tucked away near the river and the redwoods.
In 1979, Al Stockton purchased the park and renamed it Terwer Park Resort. Al was Patti Bearden’s uncle, and through him, the park became part of Patti’s family story. Since then, Terwer has remained in the family and has continued to welcome fishermen, travelers, families, and visitors from all over the United States and beyond.
For decades, Terwer RV Park was best known as a fishing camp. Many guests returned year after year, creating a close community of regulars who became more like family than visitors. Over time, the park also began welcoming more travelers coming to see the redwoods, explore the Klamath River, and enjoy the slower pace of California’s North Coast.
After Al passed, his niece Patti stepped in to care for the park. She learned along the way with help from longtime guests, many of whom had been coming to Terwer for years and knew the park like home. Patti carried on the welcoming, family-oriented spirit that made Terwer special: the peace and quiet, the simple charm, the clean and comfortable setting, and the feeling that guests were part of something familiar.
In 2026, the next generation began carrying the park forward when Patti’s son, Hiram, and his wife, Cortney, took over day-to-day management. For returning guests, the heart of Terwer is still the same. For new guests, the hope is that they feel what so many others have felt here over the years: a quiet, friendly place to slow down, settle in, and enjoy the natural beauty around them.
Hiram and Cortney’s goal is to honor the park’s history while helping more people experience its charm. Terwer RV Park is not a fancy resort, and that has never been its appeal. Its beauty is in its simplicity: fresh coastal air, open space, scattered trees, a short walk to the Klamath River, and the redwoods just down the road.
The legacy of Terwer RV Park lives in the family that has cared for it, the guests who have returned year after year, and the new visitors who continue to discover why this little park has meant so much to so many.
